Read moreWelcome to Mangal Nath Mandir Ujjain — revered in Hindu tradition as the birthplace of Mangal (Mars) and one of the most important temples in Ujjain for Mangal-related puja. Situated on the banks of the holy Kshipra river, Mangal Nath Mandir has drawn devotees for centuries who come for darshan and to perform Mangal Dosh Nivaran, Bhaat and Kaal Sarp puja. Our temple pandit ji conduct every anushthan with complete Vedic vidhi, on your name and gotra.
Mangal Nath Mandir Ujjain is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Mangal (Mars), in the holy city of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh — traditionally regarded as the land through which the Tropic of Cancer passes and a centre for time and planetary calculation in Vedic cosmology. According to the Matsya Purana, this is the very place where Mangal Dev is believed to have originated, which is why Mangal Nath Mandir holds unique significance for devotees seeking the blessings of Mangal.
Set on the peaceful Kshipra ghat with an ancient Shiva Linga and a living tradition of Vedic worship, Mangal Nath Mandir Ujjain is one of the city's most visited spiritual destinations — often included alongside darshan of Shree Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga. Devotees from across India and NRI families abroad come here to perform puja for marriage, career, courage, property and overall grah shanti.
Most visitors arrive for one of two reasons. The first is darshan — Mangal Nath Mandir is among the temples of Ujjain that a pilgrim is expected to visit, and it is quieter than Mahakaleshwar, set on the open riverside rather than inside the dense old city.
The second is the anushthan. Where a kundli is read as carrying Mangal dosh, the tradition directs the family to the place associated with the birth of Mangal Dev, and that has meant Ujjain for generations. Families come here before a marriage, and also for difficulties read as connected to Mangal — matters of property and land, of courage and temperament, of health, and of obstruction in work.
Alongside these, Kaal Sarp and Navagraha anushthan are performed here, for which the Kshipra ghat is significant: the snan and tarpan that accompany parts of those vidhi are done at the river itself.
